But ask yourself. “Do I really hate The Countryman?”

At this point they are just “cars”

If everything is a car, then nothing is a car.

Pretty much. My time in the rental GLC changed my mind. It wasn’t really less fun than any other modern car. I did miss having a manual trans but that’s about it. And I have no doubt that it would be a beast with some snowtires. Even the crap run- flats all seasons it had did okay.

Exactly. My next car will likely be a Countryman S All4. I don’t really see any disadvantage to a Countryman vs a Clubman. But the head room, legroom, and utility is undeniable

Personally I prefer the proportions of the Clubman over the Countryman. The Clubman is basically spot on long roof dimensions while the Countryman looks a bit squished.

There are “not cars” but most are “cars”

I’d rather the roads be full of crossovers that get decent MPG than the way it was during the 90s, when everyone was driving Expeditions, Suburbans, and Yukons and you couldn’t see around shit.

sorry, but the 90's was never as bad as what it looks like here: E xpeditions, Explorers, F150s 250s 350s , 3500s, duallys (with nothing in the bed or on the hitch). Don’t even ask about the lifted trucks... A man in a miata may as well be a squirrel playing in traffic. You need at least a CRV to be able to see into the other vehicle cabs, no less over or around them. I really wish we had $4/gal gas again, because nothing less is going to stem the tide of “my ride is bigger than your ride”

I don’t know where you live, but here in Colorado it was definitely that bad. At the time I had a bunch of different small cars like a VW Rabbit, an Acura Integra, 2 Chevy Sprints, etc. I also worked in an affluent part of town where everyone just had to own a Suburban or Expedition . You know, for their one kid. “I NEED IT!” The best part was working in a gas station and hearing them complain about gas prices (which were about $1.33 per gallon at the time). I’ve never wanted to punch someone so much in my life.
